2424405 - 'Attempt to upgrade the active primary ASE of an HADR group' when upgrading primary ASE via saphostctrl - SAP ASE for Business Suite

You are running SAP applications on SAP ASE database, with HADR Replication set up on this system.

In order to upgrade the ASE on this system, you choose to upgrade the primary and standby DR ASE systems independantly, instead of the recommended "Rolling Upgrade" method, wherein the primary is failed over to the standby prior to upgrade. See SAP Note 1868514.

You use 'saphostctrl' to upgrade the ASEs. The upgrade of the standby DR system completes fine. The upgrade of the primary ASE system fails like so:
