2426952 - Error Provider Selection Object: Initialization Issue

Exception while opening a query after an upgrade in the BW system.

The following entries can be found in the traces of Analysis Office (see SAP note 2129389):

• SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office
• SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office, edition for SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Open AO and select any query as datasource;
2. Confirm exception.

Delete the cache files according to the steps below:

1. Open Analysis for Office
2. Navigate to File--> Analysis -> Customize Analysis -> Options -> Platform
3. Click "Clear Cache"
   
4. Close Analysis for Office and make sure that all Excel sessions are closed.
5. On the affected PC, open the Windows File Explorer.
6. Navigate to the following path: %APPDATA%\SAP AG\SAP BusinessObjects Advanced Analysis\cache
7. Delete the file for the system to which the user is facing the issue
8. Open Analysis for Office and test the scenario again.
