2427043 - Error "Missing closing bracket for macro.." in phase MODPROF_TRANS of SUM

Symptom

  • During update/upgrade using the Software Update Manager(SUM), an error occurs in phase MAIN_PROFSTART/SUBMOD_PROFSTART2/MODPROF_TRANS
  • The following will be displayed in the SUM GUI and can be found in the SAPupConsole.log

     
    Severe error(s) occurred in phase
    MAIN_PROFSTART/SUBMOD_PROFSTART2/MODPROF_TRANS!

    Last error code set: Missing closing bracket for macro 'FN_PRXY_INFO'
  • The following can be found in LOGFILE : <DIR_PUT>/log/MODPROF_TRANS.LOG
1 ETQ399 Nothing changed - keeping old file '/usr/sap/KPL/SYS/profile/KPL_DVEBMGS50_paikpl'
1 ETQ399 Executing action for default profile.
1 ETQ399 Read 11 modification commands from '/usr/sap/KPL/SUM/abap/bin/ALPXTRANS.XML'.
1 ETQ399 Modifying '/usr/sap/KPL/SYS/profile/DEFAULT.PFL', writing to '/usr/sap/KPL/SYS/profile/TEMP.MODPROF_TRANS'.
1EETQ399 Last error code set is: Missing closing bracket for macro 'FN_PRXY_INFO'
1EETQ204 Upgrade phase "MODPROF_TRANS" aborted with severe errors ("20170208114110")
