2427331 - Signal 11 in ord_getrowbounds() - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Under some circumstances, if you exceed the maximum number of tables in a UNION query instead of getting an error message you can see an "infected with Signal 11" error in the routine ord_getrowbounds() in the ASE errorlog:

Current process (0x2f0018) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x0000000001c6e59e (ord_getrowbounds+0x2e), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000014)

  • There is no stack trace produced.
  • The query appears to run to completion.
