2427593 - Syntax error near '(end of line)' on line 1 in DBISQL in nogui mode - SAP IQ

Symptom

Running a query in DBISQL using the "-nogui" option will cause an error similar to this to appear:

(DBA)> SELECT * FROM 
TEST_TABLE
WHERE A=1
AND B=2Could not execute statement.
  Syntax error near '(end of line)' on line 1
  SQLCODE=-131, ODBC 3 State="42000"
  Line 1, column 1
  SELECT * FROM
