2428164 - PO not sent out from ECC to Ariba via cXML due to "401 unauthorized" (ARBFND_FRW 407) error

Symptom

You observe that a purchase order (PO) isn't sent out from ECC to Ariba with the help of ERP integration Ariba Add-on, because in the outbound cXML queue (sender interface: cXMLOrderRequest_Out) "401 unauthorized" (ARBFND_FRW 407) error displayed.
