2428230 - E-Mail Not Sent With Message: "Please check the email body. A virus has been found."

Symptom

When you are trying to send an e-mail, you get the error: "Please check the e-mail body. A virus has been found."

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Leads view.
  3. Open the Lead 123 (123 defines the Lead ID). 
  4. Go to the Activities tab.
  5. From the E-Mail subsection, click New.
  6. In the To field, click Select, then Employee.
  7. Add an employee.
  8. Write the text into the e-mail's body.
  9. Click Send.
  10. Error occurs: "Please check the e-mail body. A virus has been found."

Cause

Mime type is not scoped for HTML Documents in the Business Configuration.

Resolution

Please follow the steps below to Scope MIME Type code 10082 for HTML.

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Overview view, show all All configuration Elements and search for the activity Allowed MIME Types for Document Upload
  3. Click the activity Allowed MIME Types for Document Upload.
  4. Here select the checkbox Allowed for the MIME Type Codes 10082 and 10085.

If you already have the necessary MIME Types set as allowed, do a dummy-change:

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Overview view, show all All configuration Elements and search for the activity Allowed MIME Types for Document Upload
  3. Click the activity Allowed MIME Types for Document Upload.
  4. Un-check the checkbox 'Allowed' for the MIME Type Codes 10082 and 10085.
  5. Save.
  6. Repeat steps 1. - 3.
  7. Re-check the MIME Type Codes 10082 and 10085.
  8. Save.
  9. Refresh the system.
