Symptom
Overall Score pod is enabled via Button Permissions in General Settings for all Roles but will not be visible to users.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to Admin Center > Manage Templates > General Settings > Show advanced options... > Button Permissions.
- Add permission to Enable Overall Score button to All roles in All route steps.
- Launch a new form.
- The overall score pod is still not visible to user.
Cause
The overall score pod behavior in PMv12 Acceleration is not just controlled by the button permission. In addition to button permission, the form should also have section permission Enabled for the user and roles must have write permission for item rating or subject rating for Objective, Competency and Summary sections.
Resolution
Check for the user's Section permission
- Admin Center > Manage Templates > Edit Fields and Sections.
- Select the section (check all Objective, Competency and Summary sections).
- Click Show advanced options... then Section Permissions.
- Make sure that the user's role has permission Enabled for the section.
Check for the user's field permissions for item rating or subject rating
- Go to Admin Center > Manage Templates > Edit Fields and Sections.
- Select the section (check all Objective, Competency and Summary sections).
- Click Show advanced options... then Field Permissions.
- Make sure that the user has Write permission for either item rating or subject rating depending on their role.
Note:
- Please refer to 2078766 - All About Performance Management Rating Options to confirm the configurable rating fields in each rating option.
- If the option ' the write permission is not required to see overall score pod.
