2429325 - Minimum Break Deduction for Employees is Not Working as Expected

Symptom

In Business Configuration workcenter, in the Time Recording Profile, the Administrator has maintained the Minimum Break Deduction by specifying the Work Duration and Break Duration hours respectively. But the Minimum Break Deduction for Employees is not working as expected.

For example, if the Employee works for 6 hours at a stretch without any Break, then the he/she is entitled to get 30 minutes of Break. This way, Employee can put together all the entitled Break hours and take it as a Holiday in future. But if the Employee takes Break earlier than 6 Working hours, then he/she should not be allotted 30 minutes of Break in the system.

Resolution

In the above scenario, if Employee records a break of two hours from 12:00 - 14:00 in between the two working times 08:00 to 12:00 hours and 14:00 to 17:00 hours, further Break Deduction will not happen. All Productive times per day are summed up to determine whether the Break should be deducted or not. But in case Breaks are explicitly recorded as well, it shall be considered during Automatic Break calculation.
