2429487 - How to use quick search in Ad Hoc report sharing functionality with single Chinese character

Customer found that they are not able to use quick search in Ad Hoc report sharing functionality, when the user input the first name or last name that has only 1 character, system won't return any result as shown below.

It is by designed so far, quick search column is not supporting directly search with single character as it may return too many results in some kinds of language.

Chinese name normally consists of 2 or 3 Chinese Characters. (1 Character Last Name + 1 or 2 Characters First Name) For instance, 张 三 is a name that are made of 1 Character Last Name + 1 Characters First Name.

If we want to search 张 三 with his first name, we need to input ', 三 '(comma + space + first name), it will show up as screenshots shown below.

And in a similar way, if you want to search his last name just input '张 , ' (last name + comma). For the advanced search, system is not supporting single Chinese character search either.

So we would like to suggest user to use report center which integrated with more completed search function for Chinese character.
