2429814 - Error Message: "Upload of MIME Type Application/jpeg not permitted" While Synchronizing With System in Outlook Add-in

Symptom

You are trying to synchronize an e-mail with an attachment that is an image file. However, the system is throwing an error:
'Upload of MIME type application/jpeg not permitted'.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

SAP Business ByDesign

Cause

The system does not currently support emails with the specified MIME Type. In order for the system to receive such emails, you need to allow this specific MIME Type in the Business Configuration work center.

Resolution

You may add the MIME Type using the below steps:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
  2. Select Implementation Projects view or Overview.
  3. Search and Open the activity Allowed MIME Types for Document Upload.
  4. Select Add Row.
  5. Make Z entry for MIME Type application/jpeg and select Allowed checkbox.
  6. Select Save.

Once it is allowed, the system will accept E-mails that have MIME Type.
