2431767 - Error: Invalid user name at line 2 when using special characters for User ID in SAP Analytics Cloud

You are trying to import users to SAP Analytics Cloud using a CSV (Comma Separate Values) file.

When importing users you get the following error:

• Invalid user name at line 2.

• SAP Analytics Cloud

Try to upload a CSV file containing space characters in the User ID. For example:

USER_NAME,FIRST_NAME,LAST_NAME,DISPLAY_NAME,EMAIL
my user,Joe,Smith,Joe Smith,joe@mydomain.com

Your CSV file contains a User ID with invalid characters (not allowed).

Verify that your list of User IDs contains only the allowed characters, according to the Product Documentation: Creating New Users.

Only the following characters are permitted: uppercase letters, digits, underscores, hash marks, and ampersands. Spaces are not allowed in the user ID. The maximum length is 20 characters.
