2431894 - Msg 145 Level 12 State 0 Route Version must be at least - SRS

Symptom

  • In a route environment, the downstream Replicate Repserver (RRS) with lower version than the Primary Repserver (PRS)
     
  • Issue Create or define database subscription from RRS, receives the following error message:
     

    • define subscription <DB_sub>
      for database replication definition <DB_repdef>
      with primary at PDS.PDB
      with replicate at RDS.RDB
      subscribe to truncate table
      use dump marker
      Error Raised:
       
      Msg 145, Level 12, State 0:
      Server 'RRS':
      The route version (currently '1571XXX') must be at least '1571XXX' to perform that operation.
