2432262 - Message: "Logistics area defined with exception usage Over The Counter Stock" triggered while confirming Pick Task.

We are trying to confirm a pick task PQR, but system is showing information message:

        Logistics area XYZ is not recommended; some constraints not met

--->  Logistics area defined with exception usage Over The Counter Stock*PQR refers to Pick Task id, XYZ refers to Logistics Area id

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to  Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Select the Task Control view.
3. Search for the relevant task PQR.
4. Select it and choose Confirm button.
5. In the task confirmation screen, enter Actual Quantity and then enter Source Logistics Area ID as XYZ. It shows information message:

      Logistics area XYZ is not recommended; some constraints not met;

For pick task, the operation type is Pick. You have defined the logistics model for Standard Shipping for the relevant site.

In this model for operation type Pick  Source Logistics Use is defined as Storage.

However, in the Supply Chain and Design Master Data for logistics area XYZ, logistics usage is defined as Over The Counter Stock. Hence system gives this information message.

You need to adapt the master data in case you intend to avoid the message.System is working as designed.
