2432469 - Parser detected an unknown data type error on table with DF34_RAW (DF34R) or DF34_DEC data type - SAP Data Services

Symptom

  • The following errors occur when SAP table like "KONV", "BISK", "BSEG", etc containing data type of DF34_RAW (DF34R) and/or DF34_DEC is imported into an SAP application data store:

    • Error: Cannot import the metadata table <name=<table name>>.
      Parser detected an unknown data type. Notify Customer Support. (BODI-1112339)

    • com.sap.dataservices.services.metadata.MetadataServiceException: Cannot retrieve table metadata - Cannot parse GetByName response: No enum constant com.sap.dataservices.model.common.DataType.

  • Column is not displayed in SAP function metadata when data type is DF34_RAW (DF34R) or DF34_DEC.
