2434451 - Different login options set for different connections -SAP IQ

Symptom

When connecting via a TDS connection type (jdbc, open client) there are different options set than when connecting via ODBC or using DBISQL.

  • If you are working with structured datatypes like:
    • DATE
    • DATETIME
    • TIME
    • etc
  • Default setting can result in conversation errors similar to:
    [Sybase][JDBC Driver][Sybase IQ]Cannot convert 12-31-2017 to a datetime(23) (column c1)
  • Or when exporting the data, the results may not be in the desired format (see KBA 3101035)
