Symptom
- Only the administrator (ADMIN / System_Owner) is able to view universes and create models based on a Business Intelligence platform (BI) universe
- Other users have the following message displayed "The selected BI platform server does not contain any supported universes displayed in BOC"
- The same users are able to access universes using the Web Intelligence Rich Client (WRC)
Environment
SAP BusinessObjects Cloud All versions
Reproducing the Issue
- in Menu select create new Model based on universe
- Select Connection Name
- Create new query
- use a non administrator account
- After a couple of second you get The selected BI platform server does not contain any supported universes
Cause
- User does not have the required access rights on any available universe
- user has been working with local version of universes in WRC
Resolution
- Grant a least view on demand access level for the universe in the CMC (Central Management Console)
