2437516 - "No Data" is shown when accessing "Browse All Courses" in "Find Learning" in the Learning user side

Symptom

Click "Browse All Courses" from the "Find Learning" tile in the Learning user side, results in No Data.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login as a Learning user >
  2. Navigate to the Learning home page >
  3. Click "Browse All Courses" in the Find Learning tile >
  4. "No Data" is displayed.

Cause

There are two possible causes of the "No Data" in the "Browse All Courses" search:

  1. There is an incorrect system configuration of the library related settings.
  2. Items are not marked as "Featured", "New" or "Revised" in the library for which the users have access to.

Resolution

To show all items in the library:

  1. Learning admin side > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration >
  2. Edit the "LIBRARY" entry >
  3. Search for "catalogBrowseEnabled" and set it to false (catalogBrowseEnabled=false) >
  4. Apply Changes.

Or to enable the flag items feature:

  1. Learning admin side > Learning Activities > Libraries >
  2. Search for the affected/desired library ID >
  3. Go to the "Items" tab >
  4. Click the pencil (edit) icon >
  5. Update the column value of "Highlight As" for every item in the library >
  6. Select from "Revised", "New" or "Featured" >
  7. Save.
