2437678 - Managing Datasources After Modifying Key Figures in SAP SCM

Symptom

  • After performing "Change Key Figure Settings" function for a planning area in transcation /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN, certain issues are observed with the datasources of the affected planning area. 
  • At BW side (e.g., transcation /RSA1), the datasource fields fail to reflect the changes made in the source APO system, even though the changes are visible in transcation /SAPAPO/SDP_EXTR.
  • Infopackage execution to extract data via the datasource results in failure, with warnings such as "DataSource 9AXXXX (SIDCLNTXXX) must be activated" (Message No. RSDS179).
  • BW objects related to the datasource, such as DTP (Data Transfer Procedure) and transformation, become inactive or deactivated.
