2438219 - Kana Names are garbled

Symptom

The employee's Katakana Name is garbled on a Non-unicode system, when half-width Kana characters are used. Some Kana characters are shown as alphabet letters.

The garbled Kana Name can be found in following cases:

  • Infotype 0009 Payee name is garbled, even though in Infotype 0002 the half-width Katakana Name is correctly maintained.
  • Any JP specific report where Katakana Name is displayed.
  • Katakana Name is already garbled in the 'Last/First Name' (SNAME) field of table PA0001.
