2438243 - Tax category code ABC is not supported Error - Replicating Business Partners

Symptom

When replicating business partners from ERP to Cloud for Customer (C4C) , the inbound messages fails in Web Service Message Monitoring with the following error: "Tax category code ABC is not supported" (ABC represents the tax category code).

Reproducing the Issue

After replicating the business partners:

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Click on the Web Service Message Monitoring link in the General Settings view.
  3. Observe the failed messages with interface BusinessPartnerERPReplicationIn. The following error message is displayed in the Error Text column: "Tax category code ABC is not supported".

Cause

There are a list of standard delivered tax category codes in C4C, custom tax categories must be created manually.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Click on Open Activity List.
  4. Click on the Fine-Tune button.
  5. Select "General Business Partners" link.
  6. Click on the "Tax Number Types" hyperlink.
  7. Add the new tax category codes.
