How to trigger the notification "Certificate of completion" (Template ID: CERTIFICATE_OF_COMPLETION) to users in LMS?


SAP SuccessFactors Learning


  1. Access Learning Administration > go to Manage User Learning > Add Learning History with Finance >
  2. Select one of the entity (Item/Class/External event) for which you want to add learning history >
  3. Select the Item ID/Class ID or external event >
  4. Provide the necessary details (such as Grade, Completion Date and Time, Completion Status, Total Hours, Credit Hours, etc.) > click on Next >
  5. Select the user(s) > hit Next >
  6. In this step, it's possible to edit Financial information, if any >
  7. If you have any related competencies with this event you can check "". Otherwise, click on Finish >
  8. On the Finished page, the buttons "Print" and "Email" are available. Select "Email" to trigger the Certificate of completion notification to the users which just had the completion recorded.

Important note: The "Email" button is not visible if:

  • A survey is associated with the item and it's required to complete; or
  • The completion status recorded is 'Not for Credit'
