2438920 - publishing to a stream from inotify cron job crashes cluster - SAP ESP

Symptom

  • When using the "inotify cron job" to run a C SDK ESP publisher, the ESP cluster crashed.
  • When using a script that gets run from the command line to run the publisher, no crashes occurred.
  • The following is reported in nohup.out (for starting ESP cluster node):

./start_node.sh: line 15: 13489 Aborted                 (core dumped) "$STREAMING_HOME/bin/streamingclusternode" -p$ESP_CLUSTER_LOG_PROPERTIES -f$ESP_CLUSTER_NODE_LOG_FILE --config $ESP_CLUSTER_CONFIG --node-name $ESP_CLUSTER_NODE_NAME
process 20443: arguments to dbus_message_unref() were incorrect, assertion "message->generation == _dbus_current_generation" failed in file dbus-message.c line 1396.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
  D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace

  • The crash dump (e.g. hs_err_pid13489.log for process 13489 reported in nohup.out) reported:
