2439583 - Analysis Office is crashing

Symptom #1:

Analysis for Office or Excel is freezing or crashing.

Symptom #2:

Error: "An exception occurred in one of the data sources. SAP BI Add-in has disconnected all data sources. (ID-111007)"

Symptom #3:

Error: "Nested exception. See inner exception below for more details."

Symptom #4:

Error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Symptom #5:

Error: "The launcher exited with errors, see log file for more details."

Symptom #6:

Error: "Addin returned an error. Check logfile of the addin!"

Symptom #7:

Error: "One or more errors occurred."

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office

Check first whether the issue is reproducible in the latest version of Analysis for Office.

Since the corrections related to Analysis Office are delivered via patches, the user might be experiencing a known issue that is already fixed.

Visit the Wiki page http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/x/j41IGQ and follow the instructions in section #2 to download the latest version of Analysis for Office. Then install it in just one test machine and check whether the issue is reproducible.

If the issue does not occur in the latest version of the tool, it means that a code correction in Analysis Office was necessary to fix it. In this case, the solution is to install and use the version of Analysis Office that contains the correction.

In case the issue remains even in the latest version of the tool, attach to the SAP case the traces of the issue recorded in the latest version by following the instructions of SAP note 2129389.
