Symptom
-
Is there anyway to remove all users that are logged into an instance?
- Can I kick all users out of an instance if they are signed in?
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
Remove all the users that are currently logged into SF instance
Cause
Currently functionality not supported as part of current design framework
Resolution
- There is no option available to kick users out of an instance/ remove users who are currently logged in.
- We cannot forcibly logout all users from instance
- This is an enhancement request. For detailed steps on how to raise an enhancement request please follow the Knowledge Base Article (KBA) 2090228 on "How to submit an enhancement request".
Work Around:
1.We can remove login permission of the user if we want users to not access to BizX.This will only remove the access permission , it won't remove the logged in users from the instance and won't close the browser session.
- For non-RBP enabled instances, is the user in the default user group?
- Users must be in the default group.
- For RBP enabled instances does the user have login permission?
- To be able to login, the user needs to have "User Login" permission as referred on this KBA 2410089.
2. Soft purge will make the users inactive but it will only help in deactivating the instance access to the users. No Changes in the force logout of users from instance.Once purge completed successfully , the user will not have access to the instance.
For Soft purge or User Permanent or Hard Purge feature, refer KBA 2392076
