Office 365 includes both the desktop version and the web version. Analysis Office can only be used in the desktop version. In short, if an physical installation of MS Office 2016 on the clients have been done, then you can install Analysis for Office and it is compatible with Office 365.  You can check the exact Excel version by opening Excel->File->Account->About Excel.The first two digits of the version show the version information, for example, 16.0.11328.20438. The first two digits  is “16” which means MS Office 2016 is installed.
