2441646 - Error: Archive file xxxx Record at position xxx is too long

Symptom

When running a DTP which tries to access the load requests for which the metadata has already been archived, you receive either of the following errors:

1.

  • Job log (SM37): 'Archive file xxxx Record at position xxx is too long'

OR

2.

  • Short-dump (ST22) such as:

     Category                     ABAP Programming Error

     Runtime Errors             MESSAGE_TYPE_X

     ABAP Program              SAPLRSREQARCH

     Application Component  BW-WHM-DST
