Symptom

  • You are replicating an employee from Success Factors (Employee Central) to SAP HCM (ERP).
  • A EC field Example_EC is mapped to ERP field Example_ERP, field Example_EC is defined as 4 characters long, field Example_ERP is defined as 2 characters long, then the field length validation error "Target field's max length is too short. Source node XXXXXXXX Source Field XXXX"  - message no. PAOCF_EC_SERVICES109 is raised in SLG1. As a consequence, the employee is not replicated.
