2442786 - Custom OData Service Metadata can not be Downloaded in Data Workbench

Symptom

When you select a custom OData Service in Data Workbench and select Download Metadata, the metadata file doesn't get downloaded.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Data Workbench work center
  2. Go to the Import tab
  3. Select the radio button Complete Business Object
  4. Select the Custom Object for which you want to download the metadata
  5. Select Download metadata

Nothing happens.

Cause

The option (Beta) Complete Business Objects  downloads the complete business objects and is made only for standard OData Service.

Resolution

For any custom made OData Service use the radio button option Individual Objects and you will be able to download the metadata without any difficulties.
