2443084 - Unable to connect to Sybase ASE repository - SAP Data Services 4.x

Symptom

When logging into Designer the following error messages appear:

  • Message Text is: Failed to connect to the server - Error is 10061 No Connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
  • Message Text is: Connection information has invalid syntax
  • Message Text is: ERROR: Sybase connection error: Sybase CS Library message number <101188867> Severity <5>: Message Text is: ct.connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found> (BODI-1112172)
