2444918 - Error 858 on recovery : Cache cache_name does not exist - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • On startup, ASE errorlog reports error 858
  • The errorlog shows messages including :
Error: 858, Severity: 16, State: 6
Cache 'cache_name' does not exist.
No need to cleanup preallocated log pages for database 'imrs_test' (dbid = x) because it is not in active state (dbt_state = 0x8).
Unable to proceed with the recovery of dbid <x> because of previous errors.
Continuing recovery with the next database.
