2445159 - Default Name shows incorrect value - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Altering a table with a customized Default name will return an incorrect value shown in the command sp_help <table name>
  • When a default is bound to a user-defined datatype 
  • datatype is used in an alter table add column statement
  • ASE behaves differently if the alter is adding any columns with a literal default value.
