2445247 - Installation fails with Sybase ASE 16 as repository - SAP Information Steward

During the installation of Information Steward, try to use Sybase ASE 16 as the repository. But after entering the repository connection details in the Information Steward installer and clicking the Next button, get the following errors.

• The database validation failed. Please refer to this output file for error message:

            C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Temp\repoManBatch.txt

• Error:

            Invalid Information Steward repository connection information.

• Sybase connection error: <Sybase CS Library message number <101188867> Severity <5>:  Message Text is: ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.>.
• BODI-320006: Cannot open connection to the repository. The error message from the underlying DBMS is <Sybase connection error: <Sybase CS Library message number <101188867> Severity <5>:   Message Text is: ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.>.>.

• Compatible SAP Business Intelligence Platform or Information Platform Service, SAP Data Services 4.x and SAP Information Steward 4.x
• Sybase ASE 16 as the repository of Information Steward
