2445286 - Group Assignment Of Demands To Resources

Symptom

Group assignment of demands to resources is subject to specific criteria. Demands can only be assigned together if certain fields, such as Ticket Type, Customer Name, and City, have identical values. If these fields differ, the demands are treated as separate assignments.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer Core Applications

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Resource Scheduler view under the Resource Scheduler work center.
  2. Select multiple demands from the Demands list.
  3. Attempt to drag and drop the selected demands to an available resource.
  4. Observe that multiple demands cannot be dragged and dropped together.

Cause

Only a single demand can be dragged and dropped directly. To assign multiple demands as a group, they must be selected and then clicked on the available resource slot, considering the total duration of all demands in the group.

Resolution

  • Ensure that the fields Ticket Type, Customer Name, and City are identical for the demands to be grouped.
  • Select the multiple demands that meet the above condition and click on the available resource slot.
  • After assigning the demands, save the assignments.
  • Navigate to Group Mode. If the assignments meet the defined criteria, the grouped assignments will be displayed automatically, showing the respective number of demands under each grouped assignment.
