Symptom

  • Error occurs when using properties with Edm.String:
    • Parameter has invalid value: Parameter P_LENGTH has invalid value X
    • Exception CX_PARAMETER_INVALID_RANGE occurred
  • OData request fails with a HTTP status code 500 (Internal Server Error)
  • Fiori applications may fail while performing an OData request with the following error: 
    In the context of Data Services an unknown internal server error occurred
