2447885 - Class Requests are disappearing from system after a short time and are no longer appearing in the Item Requests report

Symptom

Class Requests are automatically disappearing from system after some period and are no longer appearing in the Item Requests report.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Cause

Class Requests get removed from the items when the 'Purge Class Requests' automatic process is running and the requests age past the threshold. Hence, the requests get automatically purged by this process.

Resolution

The 'Purge Class Requests' automatic process is intended to purge requests that are identified as no longer valid. The number of days inserted in the 'Threshold' field determines the age limit.

For example, consider the scenario below, where the Threshold is 1 and the job is running daily. What happens is that any request older than 1 day would be automatically purged from the system. Meaning all the remaining requests are only from a 24 hour period.

To prevent the requests from being purged too soon, please increase the Threshold to a higher value, according to your company's business needs.
