How to set-up tracking fields:
- Log into Boomi platform
- Goto settings tab of the account
- Under "Document Tracking" add fields as per the business scenario
Example:
- Goto Settings
- Choose Document Tracking
- Click on add tracked fields
- You can define the pre-defined data type for the field and provide the field label
- Once the same is done, "OK" will be highlighted (Initially it will be greyed out)
- The final outcome would look like this
How to use the tracking field in the operation:
- Goto build tab in Boomi
- Build an operation in the process
- Now open the Connector operation
- Goto the Tracking tab in the operation
- Click on Plus symbol
- The list will show all the User Defined tracking fields, which can be used in the operation (Note: Once a field is used in the operation, the same field will not appear in the list which is displayed)
- Once added, please select the field value as per the business scenario
Example:
- Open the operation, choose tracking tab
- Click on plus
- Select Field
- Adding field value
- As an example, we have added external code(XML profile element) to this tracking field
Use of the Tracking field in the process reporting tab
- Once the same is used in the process and set-up save the process and deploy the same
- Once deployed please run the process
- Once the process is completed, you can goto the process reporting tab and choose "Document"
- Then click on Add and select the user defined tracking fields to select all the documents fetched by this process
Example:
- Goto process reporting tab in boomi
- Click on the drop down and choose "Documents"
- Add the field to filter
