2449640 - Fiori Launchpad: Transaction apps with special characters cannot be started

Symptom

1.- Transactions which contains special characters like '$', '<' or '>' cannot be started in the backend system using a transaction app in the Fiori Launchpad.

2.- Transactions which contains the dash character '-' do not open correctly. Instead, navigation is done to the SAP easy access menu screen.
