2449866 - Tile Spanning in RUI Dashboards

Symptom

You have created a dashboard with several views, and you have used the spanning feature to expand some views so that they are larger than others. However when you view this dashboard in RUI, all views have the default size.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to HTML5, work center Analysis, view Dashboard.
  2. Create a new dashboard.
  3. In the step Layout, arrange the report views as required and expand some of them horizontally or vertically. Now some views are larger than others.
  4. Save this dashboard.
  5. With a user who is authorized to access this dashboard, log on to RUI, work center Analysis, view Dashboards.
  6. Open the dashboard you just created.

You will see that the report views are arranged as expected, but they have the default size. In HTML5, the tiles have the expected size.

Cause

Tile spanning in RUI dashboards is not supported yet.

Resolution

We are currently working on this feature and will implement it in a future release. Until then, you can use the Inspect button to enlarge a report view as needed.
