• An application error is occurring when clicking to view History on effective dated portlets.
• The application error would be accompanied by error: "You are not authorized to view this data for the selected user"

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 

1. Go to Job Information/Personal information
2. Click to view history
3. Error message is reflecting: "You are not authorised to view this data for the selected user"

Possible causes:

1. There is no issue with permissions.
2. Data inconsistency. For example, the affected User may be missing Employment Information Details. i.e. the user does not have correct Employee Central Data: to verify this, you can either download the employment details from adhoc report and check Or follow article 2584658
3. It is also possible that the issue was caused by the employee information being imported in the wrong order.
4. The data is already present in EP and EC tables. But looks like employment data was not imported for these users.

1. Run a Person and Employment Export report on Job Information, Personal Information and on Employment details.
2. Check Hire date in both portlets, they must be identical.
3. Check event reason in Job Information. The first record must have a valid Hire event reason.
4. Import the corrected data such as employment details if this appears to be the cause see Here

3. Scroll down to Employment Detail
4. copy all Employment Detail records
5. Go to Admin Center -Import Employee Data
6. Download template: EmploymentInfoImportTemplate
7. copy all record into EmploymentInfoImportTemplate
8. Import
