2451736 - Error: "Site is externally managed and cannot be used in inbound logistics" while creating customer return notification.

You are trying to create Customer Return Notification via Inbound Logistics workcenter but system throws an error message:

Site is externally managed and cannot be used in inbound logistics

1. Go to Inbound Logistics Workcenter.
2. Go to Common Tasks View and choose New Customer Return Notification subview.
3. Select required Product ID and navigate to next step via guided activity.
4. Enter Delivery Notification ID and all required details.
5. Perform Save.
6. System throws above error message.

The returned product is Externally Managed by a warehouse provider and the product needs to be sent back to your warehouse provider.

Since this product is managed under External Site (3PL) therefore you have to create New Customer Return Notification via Third Party Logistics instead of Inbound Logistics Workcenter.

1. Go to Third Party Logistics Workcenter.
2. Go to Common Tasks View and choose New Customer Return Notification subview.
3. Select required Product ID and navigate to next step via guided activity.
4. Enter Delivery Notification ID and all required details.
5. Perform Save.
6. No erorr would be shown.
