2452551 - DB2 table is dropped and re-created when a column is renamed - SAP PD

Symptom

  • Table column has been renamed.
  • The column is not a primary column, and does not have to be an index column.
  • When applying model changes to database, SAP PowerDesigner drops then re-creates the table.
  • The ALTER TABLE RENAME COLUMN statement should be generated.
