2452800 - Delete Account Addresses Using Data Workbench

You have a requirement to delete unwanted or incorrect account addresses using Data Workbench and would like to know how to execute this process.

Please follow the below steps in your system:

1. Go to the Data Workbench work center.
2. Access the Export view.
3. Search and select the Account Addresses object.
4. Use the filter options to select specific data if required.
5. Click Next
6. Review the data selection, then click Export.
7. Now access the Monitor view.
8. Download the exported file by clicking the link in its name once the task is complete.

Edit the downloaded file, adding a column at the end with header ToBeDeleted. In this column set value as TRUE for the rows which have the addresses you want to delete (you can set the others as FALSE or leave them blank, as Data Workbench will ignore blank values).

To upload the file back and update the addresses, please do the following:

1. Go to the Data Workbench work center.
2. Access the Import view.
3. Select the Individual Object mode.
4. Set operation to Update.
5. Search and select the Account Addresses object
6. Click Next.
7. In the new screen, click Browse to select the file you have edited, then click Upload.
8. Click Next.
9. Once data validation is successful, click Import.

The data will be updated and the addresses flagged for the deletion will be removed as soon as the task completes successfully (you can check the status in the Data Workbench's Monitor view).
