Symptom

From an OOTB SAP Commerce platform, it is possible to create an item entity, as well as its sub-type, which is defined through a relation type, by using platform webservices (by including platformwebservices extension) via PUT method.

  • For example, it is possible to create a product, as well as its variavnt products, in a RESTful call (i.e. create xml format body for both product and variant products list) via PUT method.
  • Although it is not possible to modify the sub-type, in the same way of using a PUT method RESTful call.
