2453328 - Diagnostics Agent cannot connect Solution Manager due to the version gap

Symptom

Core dump occurs when starting Diagnostics Agent and the agent cannot connect to Solution Manager system. We can see the following error in the SMDSystem.X.log.

Error [AbstractEntityHandle.entityLoadFailure] Entity failed to load.
[EXCEPTION]
com.sap.smd.om.ObjectLoadException: failed to instantiate implementation class
at com.sap.smd.core.plugin.service.ServiceEntityHandle.entityLoad(ServiceEntityHandle.java:157)

Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sap.smd.util.profile.JStartupProfileHelper.isAgentNodeProcess()Z
