2455259 - Import of Materials via Mass Data Maintenance fails with Reference to System Maintenance

The Import Materials functionality in the Mass Data Maintenance work center doesn't work properly. After choosing the Upload of the csv file, the data validation remains in process and after a while a System Maintenance / Temporary System Downtime screen appears.

1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center.
2. Select the Import Materials link.
3. Choose the Upload Data from Text button.
4. Browse for Source File, select relevant Tab and other settings.
5. Choose Upload.

After the data validation remains in process for some time, the System Maintenance / Temporary System Downtime screen appears.

Although materials with language code exist in the system, the Language column of the import file is not filled.

Mass Data Maintenance can be used to modify existing attributes only. It cannot be used to clear values. Therefore the missing language code values are not accepted by the system.

Keep respectively maintain the language code in the Language column of the import file and try the Upload again.
