Symptom

Unable to search by username in Directory Search

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile - Directory Search

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Company Info or Org Chart in in Home Menu
  2. Select Directory or Directory Search
  3. See there is no option to search by Username

Cause

The option "Hide Username in the UI" is enabled in "Platform Feature Settings"

Resolution

  1. Disable the option "Hide Username in the UI" in "Platform Feature Settings". Just please note that all modules that consume this information will start displaying it (complete list in the above screenshot - help icon)

  2. Go back to Directory Search and the field will be visible
