Symptom
- The Backup Server error shows a dump database running but not completing:
Apr 8 03:09:47 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 111328386 kilobytes (84%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:10:02 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 112604706 kilobytes (85%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:10:14 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 113889570 kilobytes (86%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:10:26 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 115171606 kilobytes (87%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:10:39 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 116446240 kilobytes (88%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:10:54 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 117728118 kilobytes (89%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:11:09 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 119002848 kilobytes (90%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:11:22 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 120287032 kilobytes (91%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:11:37 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 121564280 kilobytes (92%) DUMPED.
Apr 8 03:11:50 2017: Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database <database>: 122840302 kilobytes (93%) DUMPED.
- The ASE error log reports the following message during the time when DUMP DATABASE was running:
00:0002:00000:00090:2017/04/08 03:01:45.13 server site_hdlr: No LOGCONN for packet from site 1, channel 6
00:0002:00000:00090:2017/04/08 03:02:35.52 server site_hdlr: No LOGCONN for packet from site 1, channel 6
00:0002:00000:00090:2017/04/08 03:03:15.30 server site_hdlr: No LOGCONN for packet from site 1, channel 6
- Backups are taken through OSV (an Open Server API) and not the ASE Backup Server.
