Symptom

Role of Field Always Send E-mail within Workflow Rules. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administrator work centre.
  2. Select the Workflow Rules view.
  3. Open a workflow rule of type E-mail.
  4. Navigate to step 3 Define Actions.
  5. Here you find the field Always Send E-mail.

Cause

This is expected system behaviour.

Resolution

If you have checked the field Always Send E-mail within Workflow Rules, you should expect that on every save of the Business Object the e-mail will be sent to the recipients.
