2458570 - User cannot edit/view role/profile

One of the admins is not able to update user information and is getting a validation error when trying to save the changes.

It says that the User Role needs to be updated as a part of validation.The admin is not able to see the user Role as well.

1.As an admin search for the user.

2.Click on Edit and try to make some changes for a user and then click on 'Save'

3.You will get validation Error and the UI will suggest you to enter a role for the user.

4.The admin trying to do these changes cannot see the user roles.

The admin currently has no privilege to view any user role.

This admin was given no access to view any user role in any of the domains. You can verify this by doing the below steps:

1.Login as admin

2.Navigate to System Admin>Security>Role Management

3.Use the below criteria for filter :

-Role Type : STUDENT

-Domains : select the specific domains and include sub-domains as well

4.Click on Search and you will see that there is no roles in the search result. This means that the admin currently has no privilege to view any user role.

This is the reason why the admin cannot see user role. To enable this admin to view user role, you would have to adjust your restrictions in the role for that admin.

As restrictions are organization specific, CS cannot support for the same.
